I’m starting to just not care, but it saddens me as I’ve always wanted more Ghostbusters action, but we’ve all just been hanging on a thread.
Today’s news on Ghostbusters doesn’t give us anymore hope at all, as according to Deadline, Sony Pictures and the creative team have built the sequel around Bill Murray. Apparently Bill Murray still has contacted the studio to tell them if he has even read the script they sent out to him earlier this year.
Basically the future of Ghostbusters 3 is in Murray’s hands if he doesn’t say yes then there will be no Ghostbusters 3.
Also Murray is being courted to play Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the Roger Michell-directed Hyde Park on the Hudson. Much like Ghostbusters, if Murray says yes to play Roosevelt the film will be green lit straight away.
It’s up to Murray and if he doesn’t want to do the Ghostbusters thing then fair enough but at least let the studio and us know.
