Tim Burton’s upcoming big screen adaptation of the 60’s soap opera Dark Shadows looks like they may be adding another big name into the fold.

According to the guys over at ThePlaylist, have confirmed that the Emmy and BAFTA nominated star Michael Sheen (pictured right) is in early discussions to star in Dark Shadows. Although there isn’t negotiations, there is said to be some interest between him and Tim Burton.

Michael Sheen having voiced the White Rabbit in Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, he is no stranger to the director. Also he starred in all the Underworld films thus far, as well as starring in the new Twilight film.

If negotiations do begin and he climbs aboard, he will join the stellar cast of Johnny Depp, Jackie Earle Haley, Eva Green, Bella Heathcote, Michelle Pfeiffer and Helena Bonham CarterĀ

This is going to be amazing! I can’t wait to see Burton’s Dark Shadows. The cast so far is fantastic. Sheen could make a nice Roger Collins. :)
