SEGA’s Classic Game RAMPAGE Becoming A Film

Yesterday DethBanger told you all that the Mortal Kombat game franchise would continuing spewing out films. The game developers are involved in helping bring the films to life on the big screen again.

Something you might have missed is the small note that frankly should have been its own news item that SEGA’s RAMPAGE is also being made into a feature game. When all the cool kids had Nintendo systems I had a SEGA which meant I got to play cool games like RAMPAGE. In Rampage you fight the army while reaching into building and eating people. Its basically a spin on King Kong and was a ton of fun to play.

Rampage is a game from 1986 ( which would have made me 8 ) and was released by Bally midway. Up to three players could control one of three monsters, George a Gorilla, Lizzie a Lizard and Ralph a Werewolf. The characters are humans which were turned into monsters and go on a RAMPAGE destroying San Francisco. George was a middle aged man, Lizzie was a young innocent woman and Ralph was an old man up until Scumlabs turned them into monsters in an experiment which results on them going on a.. oh yes.. RAMPAGE!

Since some of you may not have experienced the awesome-sauce that was RAMPAGE I have 3minutes of footage below for the game to checkout. An R rated movie about monsters terrorizing San Francisco  ripping people from buildings and eating them while thrashing the army, tell me that doesn’t make for  a bad ass movie!
