A little tidbit of casting news here for Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming monster film, Pacific Rim. According to Variety, Max Martini (Saving Private Ryan) has officially signed on to star in the film for Legendary Pictures.
Martini joins the previously announced cast of Charlie Day, Idris Elba and Charlie Hunnam. Pacific Rim will begin production in the Fall.
The film is set on an alternate version of Earth in the near future. The story centres on humans piloting giant robots to battle giant aliens that are invading Earth through a wormhole-type structure.
