The date has finally been set for Drew Goddard’s and Joss Whedon’s The Cabin in the Woods. The film has certainly had it’s fair share of ups and downs, mainly more downs but now it looks to be on the way up and staying that way.
According to Deadline, Lionsgate has set the release date for the film as April 13, 2012. So a little under a year away. Still a long wait, but it is officially being released, we just have to wait that little bit longer.
Also a little bit of a synopsis has appeared per Deadline, “Hemsworth plays a young professional who visits a quaint cabin in the woods with a group of friends and ends up scratching the surface of something so massive and horrific that they can only begin to fathom it as time quickly runs out.”

Great it finally has a release date, but not over the moon about the wait… any clues as to why this flick has had a bad run like this given its fan interest?
