The Emmy nominated show, Game of Thrones comes from the author/creator, George R. R. Martin which is a huge success on HBO. So, riding off the success of Game of Throne’s it only seems fitting that Martin would move onto other projects.
At this time according to IGN, Mike The Pike Productions are seeking a creative team to adapt, George R. R. Martin’s werewolf novel, The Skin Trade into a feature film. The budget for this project regarding the production value is in the region of $60-80M.
The company is set to hit Hollywood in search of A-list attachments for a writer, director and the cast, so they have high hopes for this adaptation and obviously looking to give the novel the respect it deserves.
This project may not be new to some of you as it has been in development for quite some time now, but since George R. R. Martin’s profile has gained higher attention thanks to his Game of Thrones creation, the project has gone full steam ahead.
Also we have the official synopsis: “When a string of grotesque killings begins to strike her small city, private detective Randi Wade becomes suspicious.
