Matt Reeves To Direct New Twilight Zone Movie

It appears as if the search for a director to helm Warner Bros. new Twilight Zone movie has been found. After an illustrious search it appears as if Matt Reeves is the man to do it.

A week or so back we announced that either Christopher Nolan, Alfonso Cuaron or even Michael Bay could be helming the new movie and it turns out none of them will be helming this one.

According to Deadline, Matt Reeves has been chosen to direct the new The Twilight Zone movie from a script penned by Jason Rothenberg which is based upon the well-known TV series.

The site reports that the film will not be an anthology like the previous movie but, “this one is a big science fiction action movie with a single freestanding story that is linked to the original series mainly in that it shares that familiarly eerie feel.”

However, Reeves appears to be a very busy man having Summit Entertainment’s new Frankenstein flick This Dark Endeavour and Fox 2000’s The Passage on his plate. Also he has a deal in place with Universal to write and direct a film based on Ray Nelson short story 8 O’Clock in the Morning.

That story involves “a man who awakens with the realization that aliens are all over the place and control society.”

It looks like we will be seeing a lot more of Mr. Reeves in the weeks to come judging by that schedule.

So wait by 8 O’Clock in the Morning you mean the story They Live is based on right? Does that mean he is writing/directing the remake?
