Arnold, thank you for the comment. I thought the Cera part was definitely funny, but I'd almost forgotten about it down the line given the cattle-call of greatness to come. As I'd noted, both Robinson and Baruchel's character arcs were my favorite aspects of the film. And MM is right, great way to change the direction of a lousy day.

Thanks, MM. I make it a point to stay as 'spoiler free' as I can most of the time or clearly note if they are/will be included. That said, hard to cover it all and not give a little away here/there but I try my best. Per the tone, you're right that ultimately enjoying it for what it is is the best policy.

I found this very funny and enjoyed it a lot. My only grip is that Michael Cera should have been the main focus. He was the best part in the movie to me.

Excellent post! I agree with every point made. Horror is my favorite genre -- it is practically all I watch -- but you know what? I loved this movie. It was endearing, funny and freshly innovative. A damn shame people, and most being those that haven't seen the film for themselves, are so quick to write it off as a Twilight replica. And there is nothing that makes me want to tear my hair out more than an elitist attitude. Some horror fans have quite the entitlement complex and I commend you for calling such fans out on it.

Great review Jason. I can't wait to see this film and even more so now having read your review.
