It is time for a very special Halloween edition of ‘You Vote’ . You Vote is a weekly feature where poll our Facebook Community and compile the answers into a top list. With Halloween coming we obviously wanted to take a minute and focus on the Best Halloween Horror Movies so this week we asked you what your favorite Halloween Horror Movies are.
We took all of the answers, tallied up the votes and put together a list of the Top 10 Halloween horror movies based off your votes. It should go without saying that if you are planning a Halloween Horror Marathon some if not all of these films should be on that list. Starting from #10 here is the Top 10 Halloween Horror Movies of all time!
#10 ) Pumpkinhead
Landing at the number ten spot is the 1998 horror movie Pumpkinhead directed by Stan Winston. Pumpkinhead is about a man who conjures up a demon called Pumpkinhead to destroy the teenagers who accidentally killed his son.
#9) Rob Zombies Halloween
I enjoyed Rob Zombies remake of Halloween but must admit I am surprised you all voted it onto this list. Clearly there is a fair bit of love for this film even with all you die hard horror fans. For me Rob Zombies Halloween remake is one of the few high notes in a stream of really bad horror remakes.
#8) Nightmare on Elm Street
Wes Cravens 1984 horror film Nightmare on Elm Street is a Classic horror film that every horror fan should see at least once. Older fans will know it well but younger fans may only know it from the remake. Do yourself a favor and seek out the 1984 original which starred Robert Englund and Johnny Depp.
#7) John Carpenters The Thing:
John Carpenters The Thing is in my books one of the top 5 horror movies of all time and I have seen it no less then 30 times. John Carpenters The Thing is the perfect monster movie mixing science fiction, isolation and some of the best practical FX on film. In ‘The Thing’ scientists in the Antarctic are confronted by a shape-shifting alien that assumes the appearance of the people that it kills. [ Foot Note: Our Readers voted The Thing one of the Top 10 Best Horror Remakes ]
#6) The Exorcist
The exorcist is to this day one of the most terrifying films ever made and is the classic tale of good vs evil as a catholic priest is summoned to help a child possessed by an unknown entity.

John Carpenter’s The Thing should have at least been pushed up to #2 it’s easily the best remake.
I love both the orignal and re-imagining of Halloween. Unfortunately, every Halloween season, my wife watches these movies CONSTANTLY so my the time Haloween actually arrives, I’m sick to death of Micheal Meyers.
Keep away from Pumpkinhead unless you’re tired of living . . .
