You Voted: 15 Best Zombie Movies

I would have voted this one much higher but its not my list its yours. Shaun of the Dead is the story of two slackers who find themselves caught up in the end of the world and must save the girl, find mom, and get to the safest place in town that serves cold beer!

#3) Night of the Living Dead:

George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead is easily the best zombie film ever made in my books. That said its such a hard task to pick your favourite George Romero film. Night of the Living Dead was the first to really kick off the zombie genre and has spawned literally hundreds of imitators.

#2) Day of the Dead:

Day of the Dead is the third film in the Romero zombie film anthology. Set in an underground bunker after the events of Dawn of the Dead it features the same fantastic atmosphere of Night of the Living Dead with heavy social commentary and plenty of gore. It might have landed at #2 on the list but it easily could have been #1.

#1) Dawn of the Dead:

Dawn of the Dead is the last film in the Romero ‘of the dead’ franchise that I can say I truly loved. There were films that came after it namely Diary of the Dead, Land of the Dead and Survival of the Dead. Dawn of the Dead is one of George Romero’s greatest films and unfortunately at this point in my view the last good zombie film he made.
