Alexandre Aja Adapting Joe Hill’s Horns

When there isn’t a story about remakes there another story about adaptations, but I’d much rather watch an adaptation of someone’s novel than another remake. Anyway,  it looks as if Alexandre Aja is the man to bring this one to the screen.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alexandre Aja is teaming up with Joe Hill on the feature film adaptation of Hill’s novel Horns, which is said to be produced by Mandalay Pictures.

The film follows “a 26-year-old man who wakes up with a massive hangover and discovers horns sprouting from his head. He becomes convinced that their existence is tied to the unsolved murder of his girlfriend.”

Scott Bunin adapted the script for the screen with Mandalay’s Cathy Schulman and Peter Guber producing along with Hill, son of Stephen King.

The project is currently securing financing and they hope to have the film in production by the Summer of 2012.
