Lily Collins Exits The Evil Dead Reboot

Chris Savage

Lily Collins was at one time in talks to play “Mia”, the female equivalent of Ash, in the upcoming reboot/remake of The Evil Dead, but it appears as if she has flown the coop due to some scheduling conflicts.

According to Variety’s Jeff’ Sneider on his Twitter page via Dread Central, ““Due to date issues, LILY COLLINS will not be able to star in THE EVIL DEAD reboot!”

So who could play the female lead in the reboot now, suggestions?

“The story centers on five friends (David, Natalie, Eric, Olivia, and Mia) holed up at a remote cabin where they discover a Book of the Dead with a demonic force unleashed possessing each until only one is left to fight for survival.”

Federico Alvarez will be directing from a screenplay he co-written with Rodo Sayagues, Diablo Cody made revisions to that script.

Look for The Evil Dead in theatres on April 12, 2013.
