Magnolia Pictures Picks Up V/H/S

Adam Wingard, Glenn McQuaid, Radio Silence, David Bruckner, Joe Swanberg and Ti West’s upcoming horror anthology film V/H/S looks as if it is doing very well, as the film has just scored some distribution.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Magnolia Pictures is acquiring the North American rights to the film V/H/S for just a little over $1 million in a late-night bidding war which involved three prospective buyers.

V/H/S will be released on Magnolia’s Ultra VOD program and then it is said to receive a significant release in theatres.

The film is also in talks with several foreign territories with offers on the table from potential buyers.

V/H/S follows “a group of petty criminals who are tasked with finding a VHS tape in a remote and rundown house, only to discover an entire trove of recorded nastiness there.”
