Second Trailer For Detention of the Dead

I wasn’t sure what to think of Alex Craig Mann’s upcoming zombie-comedy film Detention of the Dead, but I have to say, these trailers are really starting to sway me towards it. In what is being described as The Breakfast Club meets Shaun of the Dead, this could be a real hit, here’s hoping they can pull it off.

Detention of the Dead is written & directed by Alex Craig Mann and stars Jacob Zachar (“Greek”), Alexa Nikolas (“Zoey 101″), Christa B. Allen (“Revenge”), Jayson Blair (“The Hard Times of RJ Berger”), Justin Chon (“Twilight”) and Max Adler (“Glee”).

Synopsis: “Comedy and Horror unite in this “The Breakfast Club” meets “Shaun of the Dead” tale about a group of oddball high school students who find themselves trapped in detention with their classmates having turned into a horde of Zombies. Can they put their differences aside and work together to survive the night? Fat chance! This is High School after all.”

This movie looks like a lame, uninspired piece of garbage. Worst, it doesn’t appear to be even remotely funny. The jokes won’t make anybody laugh (“Savini Library?” Really?) and the gore looks awful. With a more talented writer, this could have been great stuff. As it stands, time wasting trash.
