The Stand Adaptation Lands a Writer

It looks as if Warner Bros’ big-screen adaptation of Stephen Kings The Stand is still going ahead. Ben Affleck is still attached to direct the feature and now it appears they have found the right guy to adapt the book for the screen.

According to Vulture, Ben Affleck has hired screenwriter David Kajganich to pen the script, Kajganich also penned IT, another King adaptation which the guys over at Warner Bros. loved, so they are extremely happy with this decision.

Stephen King’s The Stand is about survivors of a chemically weaponized super-flu.
