Bruce Campbell & Jane Levy Talk Evil Dead Remake

I don’t think any of us even imagined that The Evil Dead would ever get remade, it’s almost like the Holy Grail, an untouchable movie within out community, but, even a film as sacred as The Evil Dead wasn’t safe from the beast that is the remake machine.

However, I’m not all that against it, as I’ve said before, if Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell have their blessing then they have mine too but I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Recently, The Insider had a chance to chat with Bruce Campbell & Jane Levy anout the upcoming Evil Dead remake. Bruce Campbell said:

“You can expect to have a damn scary horror movie. There’s no Ash character — The Evil Book is going to torment a new set of kids, so it’s a remake, or a re-imagining or … a re-whatever word you want to use. It’s going to be re-scary.”

I’m sure you are all curious to know about the infamous raping trees in this one?

“They’re not terribly well-behaved this time either,” Bruce laughed.

Jane Levy the new Ash-like character, gave her two-cents:

“I’m a big fan of the original. To me it’s the scariest movie, ever. But this one is really different. They’ve changed it a lot, but it’s still a pretty gory movie. My mom probably can’t see it.”

Levy then went on to talk about the tone of the movie mentioning that this one will definitely be dark and not funny.

So there you have it, will you be checking this one out on April 12, 2013 or is this just a no go?
