Cabin Fever: Patient Zero – Director Attached & First Art

Well guys, for those of you who are hungry for even more Cabin Fever, we have the news for you. The upcoming prequel which is entitled Cabin Fever: Patient Zero has has a director attached, read on below.

According to Heat Vision, Kaare Andrews is currently in final negotiations to direct the film with Insomnia Group handling distribution duties. Hypotenuse Pictures will be producing.

“Patient Zero will tell the origin of the flesh-eating virus that was unleashed in the 2002 original, directed by Eli Roth. The new film follows the passengers of a cruise ship in the Caribbean that runs aground a  research island. They must find a way to survive before the disease consumes them. Jake Wade Wall, who wrote the remake of The Hitcher, penned the script.”

Following this film, another sequel will be on the way entitled Cabin Fever: Outbreak, which is said to be written by Adam & Deborah Marcus and a brief synopsis follows:

In this film a doctor and his family travel to a remote Caribbean island to investigate a minor flu outbreak, only to discover a vicious flesh-eating virus that threatens everyone on the island. The family is faced with responsibility to prevent a worldwide epidemic.
