David Hackl’s Red Machine Casts Up

Camping. Don’t you just love it? Out in the wilderness beneath the stars, a fire crackling away, marshmallows burning on a twig with campfire songs playing in the background. Its all so cozy, when suddenly a giant bear comes in for the kill. Well, you shouldn’t be sleeping in his domain.

In any event, we have some casting news for David Hackl’s (Saw V) upcoming film Red Machine. According to Deadline, Piper Perabo, Billy Bob Thorton, James Marsden and Thomas Jane will all star in the film.

Red Machine “revolves around two estranged brothers (Jane, Marsden) and their girlfriends (Perabo and an actress yet to be cast) who go camping in the Alaskan wilderness. An erratic grizzly relentlessly stalks the two couples, who are forced to rely on their own senses and skills to survive.”

Filming is said to begin this month in Vancouver.
