Eli Roth Heads to the Insane Asylum in Aftershock

While this may turn out pretty good, there is only one film I want from Eli Roth at the moment and that is a feature length film of his faux-trailer Thanksgiving. But, as that still seems like a distant project lingering around, here we have a film which features an insane asylum and an earthquake, tempted?

According to Deadline, there is currently a bidding war for Eli Roth, Nicolas Lopez & Guillermo Amoedo’s scripted thriller Aftershock. This will be the next “Eli Roth Present’s” film which also marks the English-language debut film from director Nicolas Lopez.

“The plot revolves around an insane asylum on an island, where the inmates escape during the quake.”

The film also stars Roth, who will play the lead, he is joined by Selena Gomez, Ariel Levy, Nicolas Martinez, Lorenza Izzo, Natasha Yarovenko, Andrea Osvart and Miguel Asensio.

The film is currently four-weeks into production in Chile and the Weinstein Company and Relativity Media are said to be some of the distributors interested in the project.
