Hailee Steinfeld Cast in Lionsgate’s Dead of Winter

There isn’t much to go on sadly at this time regarding Lionsgate’s Dead of Winter, but we do have word of the first cast member and a brief look at the plot details.

According to B-D, Hailee Steinfeld (Romeo and Juliet, True Grit) has signed on to star in Lionsgate’s Dead of Winter (formerly known as Hopscotch). Sarah Conradt wrote the screenplay and the hunt for a director is on.

The film follows “Josephine (Hailee Steinfeld), a young girl who has recently lost her mother. She joins her family members who are thrown into conflict with each other, nature, and a crazed killer when they are isolated in their mountain home during a snowstorm.”
