Joe Johnston to Direct Not Safe For Work

It appears is if Joe Johnston is leaving the big-budget films behind and is heading for something with a micro-budget. There will be no big special effects or bucket loads of cash being thrown around. Instead, we have a crazed killer in an office, something a little more up my alley.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Joe Johnston has signed on to direct the micro-budgeted thriller Not Safe For Work. He won’t be working alone, as he will have someone with a bit of experience when dealing with a micro-budget film. Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, Insidious) of Blumhouse Pictures have set up the project.

NSFW will have a budget of 2.5 million and “centers on a young paralegal who is trapped in the office with a killer on a mission to destroy files for another corporation.”
