Two More Head to the Cabin in the Evil Dead Remake

Chris Savage

Casting is still coming in thick and fast for Federico Alvarez’s Evil Dead remake as we have two more names to add to the chopping block. It looks like there isn’t much room left in that old creepy cabin.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jessica Lucas (pictured right), who was one of the stars of CW’s Melrose Place, is currently in talks to star in the film with Elizabeth Blackmore already set to venture deep into the cabin.

If Lucas does agree to come aboard, she will play “the best friend of the girl going through withdrawal (Levy) who is also a nurse. Blackmore is playing the fiancée of Fernandez and new to the group.”

The remake will follow “five friends hole up in a cabin in a woods as one of them tries to undergo a drug withdrawal. Unfortunately, they discover a Book of the Dead and unleash demons.”

Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell will be producing through Ghost House Pictures.

Great, another plastic great looking chick squeezed into the cabin with a bunch of other great looking plastic people that wouldn’t be caught dead in a cabin in the real world. How about a regular looking Dick and Jane, you know ones without 80K porcelain veneers. Typical.
