WWE Grapples With a Leprechaun RemakeHere we go again guys, the dreaded remake machine has hit again and its next target? Well, it just happens to be a little green man searching for his pot of gold, yes, its that little pesky dude known as the Leprechaun.

According to Variety, Lionsgate and WWE have teamed up on a two-film deal with the first being a remake of the 1993 Jennifer Aniston starrer Leprechaun. At the time the film was produced by the now defunct Trimark studio which was absorbed by Lionsgate in 2000.

At this time no director, writer or cast have been announced but it is said that this one will hit in 2013.

New WWE Studios head Michael Luisi said: “We have been looking for ways to continue our relationship with Lionsgate and we saw ‘Leprechaun’ as the perfect opportunity to take a well-known franchise and put a modern-day spin on it. This is a property that we believe our audience will respond to and we continue to look for ways to surprise and engage them.”

They HAVE to use Hornswaggle!  Who else could play him?  Well, apart from Wawrick Davis if he wanted the role again but I have a feeling he’s going to be busy with Gervais for a while.

Maybe they can just shrink one of the big guys down digitally … or better yet, write the whole movie down on paper and fckn burn it, because polishing a turd isn’t the best use of their money.
