Julianne Moore To Play Carrie’s Insane Mother?

While nothing has been confirmed at this time, our friends over at B-D have scored some juicy details regarding Kimberly Peirce’s remake of Carrie. Have we found Carrie’s psycho mother?

The site reports that Columbia Pictures is currently in talks with Julianne Moore (pictured right) to play the role of Carrie’s crazed mother, Margaret White. In the original 1976 adaptation, the role was then played by Piper Laurie who did a tremendous job, she played one crazy bitch.

What do you guys say about this possible casting choice, agree?

The film is “An adaptation of the Stephen King thriller about the hyperkinetic teenager who gets pushed too far at the prom and wreaks havoc on her fellow high school students.”
