I’m sure you guys love horror shorts as much as I do, they’re simply amazing, nice little chunks of horror that get straight to the point, or in some cases leave you scratching your head wondering as to what you just witnessed.
Well, below courtesy of AICN, we have four horror shorts for you guys to watch, they range from werewolves to impregnated bath tubs, yep, enjoy your Sunday and let us kn ow what you think.
First up we have Dane McCusker’s creepy short Reception, this one looks great, well shot and beautifully put together, not sure how it would serve as a feature, but as a short it is right on the money.
Synopsis: “When an expectant teen mother reluctantly works the Night-Shift at a Hostel she must investigate a complaint about strange noises coming from one of the rooms. What she finds locked within, forces her darkest fear to surface”
Next is Scott Hamilton’s absolutely stunning werewolf short, Bad Moon Rising. You may have heard or even seen this one before as its been around the festival circuit becoming a fan favorite in the process.
The short is a full-on practical effects extravaganza, I want this as a feature, stat, I love werewolf flicks and I want more, go check it out.
Synopsis: “Held captive in a basement, a young man is repeatedly beaten. As his torture intensifies, he finally breaks. His captors have won, but they’ve missed one little, bloody, thing…”
Bad Moon Rising is short film based on an in-development feature film script of the same name. The short film screened at last year’s Screamfest Horror Film Festival, whilst the feature film script was a finalist in Screamfest’s Screenplay Competition. The special effects creature make-up was designed by 2011 Fangoria Magazine Chainsaw Award winner Steve Boyle.”
Here we have Bobby Miller’s flick, Tub, I have never seen anything like this before, nor have I ever even thought of the concept. I must thank Miller for giving something truly original and he is definitely someone I will be keeping my eye on.
Tub is a strange beast, but if you’re like me, I’m sure you will love it also, the creature effects are top-notch as well, just watch it and brace yourselves.
I think the plot details explain it brilliantly, “Paul jerked off in the shower. Paul just impregnated his bath tub.”
Finally we have Jake Akuna’s utterly brilliant Nazi zombie short, Nazi Zombies: I Think We’re Alone Now. The short is set to the German version of Tiffany’s song I Think We’re Alone now. Its just a great slice of zombie madness which is being developed into a web-series.
