I was so freaking pumped for World War Z this year, even if it is getting a PG-13 rating, its a zombie movie on epic proportions, but perhaps it is just too epic to come to fruition. Marc Forster’s World War Z has been in trouble for a while now with the film set for more re-shoots.
Today comes word via The Hollywood Reporter, that Damon Lindelof (Prometheus) has been drafted in to try and save Paramount’s troubled World War Z. The film is currently awaiting re-shoots with Lindelof focusing on the third act.
Unfortunately this has set the film back to a June 21, 2013 release date instead of its original December 2012 release.
The re-shoots are scheduled for this September, so it wouldn’t surprise me if the film will be pushed back even further. Your best bet is to just pick up the original Max Brooks novel, and just maybe this one will eventually see a release date.
The film stars Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos ( The Killing), James Badge Dale and Anthony Mackie.

The audiobook is one of the best I have ever heard. It is done with a all star cast, but Mark Hamill stole the show.
the zombies run in this (from what ive read) so its not staying true to max brooks vision so im not excited at all for this anymore
