Lionsgate Set to Remake Twilight?

Chris Savage

I’m sure you guys remember the story back in January? The one where we announced that Lionsgate acquired Summit Entertainment for $412.5 M, which includes all their stock, and yes, even Twilight.

This doesn’t sound as crazy as one may suggest, but, B-D are reporting that Lionsgate are currently in discussions regarding a reboot or maybe even a spin-off or even a sequel for the Twilight franchise.

It does make perfect sense, especially when you can see the dollar signs, the franchise made a lot of the green stuff and with The Hunger Games under Lionsgate’s belt as well, it just makes perfect sense.

Its unknown what will happen to the Twilight franchise at this time, but the site reports that they do expect a remake fairly quickly, so perhaps this November 16th won’t be the last we see of the Twilight franchise.

Does this mean that we get to see the alternative version, where Blade crosses worlds and takes out the fake day walkers? Perhaps not, but it would be nice to see some actual blood and violence.

Who knows at this time, do you think this is a wise idea on Lionsgate’s behalf or do you think this should be the end of Twilight once and for all?

At this time it just sounds like a lot of speculation and with no official source to back the claim up, its a little hard to actually believe, but we shall see.

The one thing I think this franchise was missing was a little more adult content.  I realize the books were written for a younger audience, but with all the adult attention it received I think remaking the films with a little more adult flavour would be wonderful

I agrea that there should be a little more adult content but they should only remake the film with the originals actors that played the characters of course and the authors permission. As for the idea of a sequal to the twilight franchise I think that it would be cool to see Renesmees life.

I understand that people practicly worship twilight and please don’t get me wrong i LOVE the books they are some of my favorits but the movies are compleat crap. I don’t like anything about the movies. I understand the books are long but the screen wrighters, in my opinion, did not do the books justice and neither did the actors. I could go on forever about how much better the books are than the movies but i will just leave with this, please do not make anymore twilight movies, leave the saga the way it was always ment to be, as books.
