Who is up for a little Australian murder mystery flick? Well, if you fancy going down-under, we have a flick for you which may be worthy of its name. I’m hoping we get a gritty flick like many other Aussie films, for example, Wolf Creek.

According to Deadline Ryan Kwanten and Hugo Weaving (pictured right) have joined writer-director Ivan Sen’s Australian thriller, Mystery Road.

Hugo Weaving has been cast as a cop with questionable motives while Ryan Kwanten will play a pig hunter.

They join Aaron Pedersen who “has the lead role of an indigenous detective who returns home to an Outback town to solve the murder of a teenage indigenous girl.”

The cast also stars Jack Thompson, Tony Barry, Tasma Walton, Damian Walshe-Howling, David Field and newcomers Trisha Whitton and Siobhan Binge.

Filming has taken place this week in central Queensland.
