Behold the Horrors on The Bench – Trailer Inside

Chris Savage

Simply wow, folks. Gritty, brutal and full of the red stuff, this is what gets me excited and Sean Paul Wilkie’s upcoming Scottish horror flick The Bench looks as if it will deliver all the above and then some.

If you’re a fan of slasher fans, primarily from the 70’s/80’s era, strap yourself in and sign yourselves up, as this one is sure to bring back some awesome memories while being completely new and refreshing. To say I’m excited about this one is a bit of an understatement! :)

Thanks once again to the ever vigilant Avery, we have the first official trailer for your viewing pleasure below, enjoy.

Director Sean Paul Wilkie said; “Take Evil Dead, Halloween, Saw, Hostel and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, put them in a blender with some blood and Tarantino-style dialgoue. Served with a healthy dose of originality and you’d have The BENCH”.

Strong statement? I believe he has the film to back it up, but my fingers are firmly crossed.

The film stars Carmern Pieraccini, Ross Maxwell, Jennifer Byrne, Matt McClure, Ilaria Nardini, Christopher Summers, Joy McAvoy, Robert Harrison, Jim Sweeney, Tony McGeever, Rebekah Lamb and Gareth Hunter.

Synopsis: “The story goes that there is a room, in the middle of the woods and if you enter it – you will never come out!

There is a legend, of a boy called Chester Oakes. Chester lived with his Father in a cabin in the woods. His Mother died during childbirth. His Father would hunt and trap animals and cut them up to sell the meat at the market in town.

One day Chester’s Father never returned from hunting and when Chester found him, he was caught in his own trap. Well Chester had never been right, he did the only thing he knew to do with an injured animal…he cut his Father up – in the basement – on The Bench.

He was never seen again and now six kids are staying at that cabin for the weekend and they just found the room and it’s only a matter of time before Chester comes home and one by one they have to face THE BENCH.”
