I’m sure many of you out there remember the CREEPY and EERIE comics? I’m betting many of you still have them to this day, and why not? They’re brilliant and simply asking for a film adaptation, but whats better than a simple adaptation than to have it turned into an anthology. Yep, now you’re talking.
According to Deadline, Chris Columbus (The Goonies, Gremlins, Home Alone) is set to produce a four-part anthology film based upon the CREEPY comics. Columbus is also attached to write one of the four segments.
492′s Michael Barnathan have teamed with Submarine partners and New Comic Company’s principals Dan Braun and Josh Braun, and Sara Feldmann Sheehan to produce the film.
Columbus said in a statement, “I am thrilled to be immersed once again in the world of CREEPY and EERIE” said Columbus. “They featured some of the most important comic book artists of the time and were incredibly influential in my desire to become a filmmaker. It is really exciting to have the opportunity to bring these unique tales to the screen and share them with today’s audiences.”
This has me excited, it brings back memories of Tales from the Crypt, here’s hoping they can pull it off, what do you guys think?
