Chris Hemsworth to Star in Robopocalypse?

What is being pegged as the ‘next big thing’ is Steven Spielberg’s upcoming adaptation of Daniel H. Wilson’s epic novel of the same name, Robopocalypse. And while nothing is official just yet, there is some talking going on and we have word that Chris Hemsworth (pictured right) could star in one of the most coveted roles.

According to Deadline, Spielberg has met with Hemsworth and he now wants him in his next big flick Robopocalypse. If cast, this would be Spielberg’s first casting for the film.

Robopocalypse is about the human race’s attempt to survive an apocalyptic robot uprising,  with the film recently being adapted by hot screenwriter Drew Goddard.

This one could be huge, and I’m pretty sure that Hemsworth will climb aboard. That’s about all we’ve got at the moment, but be on the look out when the film hits theatres on April 25, 2014.
