Who is up for some more hack, slice and dicing action? Well, if you’re after a new slasher flick to keep your eyes on, Dead Lantern Pictures’ Isabelle (working title) may just be the one for you. Read on for the early details and a few photos thanks to the guys over at Dread Central.

The film is written and directed by Mat Kister and stars Desiree Cade, Jeremy Cech, Steve Eaton, Julia Farrell, Chris Muckey, and Maddy Griep as Isabelle Wakeworth.

Synopsis: “The legend of Isabelle Wakeworth was born in the summer of 1952 when her father carved out her eyes with a broken light bulb. Institutionalized, Izzy soon escaped and took her revenge on her own family, murdering thirteen people before her own sister was able to stop her for good. Now, 60 years later, a mysterious darkness has begun swallowing the earth, bringing monsters in its wake. Isabelle Wakeworth has been reborn and found a new group of family members to hack, slice, dice, and eviscerate!

Designed to be a fun, scary, and gory ride from start to finish, Isabelle will give slasher fans a new killer to follow: the Greek tragedy mask donned by Isabelle Wakeworth!”

The film is said to finish shooting this September with a planned release on DVD and Blu-ray in 2013. Interestingly, the home video releases will feature two versions, one in color and the other black and white.

Its still early to tell, but I have a good feeling about this one, what do you guys think?
