Plot Details Chime in For NBC’s Hannibal

Chris Savage

While I am skeptical, there’s a little bit of me that is highly excited for this one, but I just have this feeling that somewhere along the line they will mess it up. But, I’m open minded, so hopefully they can deliver the goods.

While we have been inundated with casting news for NBC’s Hannibal, we are a little in the dark regarding what route they will take. However, B-D have scored early word on the plot, read on for more.

According to the site, The project is described as a contemporary thriller featuring the classic characters from Thomas Harris’ novel “Red Dragon” – FBI agent Will Graham (Dancy) and his mentor Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mikkelsen) — who are re-introduced at the beginning of their budding relationship. Graham a gifted criminal profiler on the hunt for a serial killer with the FBI who enlists the help of Dr. Lecter, one of the premier psychiatric minds in the country, with no clue about his darker side.

Apparently, Lector and this serial killer share something unique in common with the hunt taking place in Minnesota where the killer devours the livers of his college-aged female victims.

The series will feature 13-episodes with the pilot directed by David Slade (30 Days of Night).

While there are a talent group of people attached to this project I think they’ll be incredibly limited to what they can pull off on network television.
