U.S. Theatrical Trailer for The Tall Man

Chris Savage 2 Comments Movie Page: The Tall Man

While I doubt Pascal Laugier’s The Tall Man will pack as much of a punch as his previous awesome, and some what disturbing flick flick Martyrs. I have to say that The Tall Man does look like it has potential, but its a totally different ballgame. In any event, we have just scored the U.S. theatrical trailer for the film which you can view below.

Synopsis: “In an isolated, slowly dying mining town, children are vanishing without a trace – abducted, the townsfolk whisper, by a mysterious entity known locally as “The Tall Man.” Town nurse Julia Denning (Biel) seems skeptical…until her young David disappears in the middle of night. Frantic to rescue the boy, Julia lives every parent’s darkest nightmare in this twisting, shock-around-each-corner thriller from acclaimed director Pascal Laugier.”

The film stars Jessica Biel (New Years Eve, The A-Team), Jodelle Ferland (The Cabin in the Woods, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse), Stephen McHattie (Immortals, 2012), William B. Davis (“The X-Files,” Passengers), Samantha Ferris (Along Came a Spider), and Katherine Ramdeen (The World, The Flesh & The Devil).

Look for the film in theatres this August 31st.

Watched this last night. The trailer is a bit misleading. I wouldnt call this a horror as much as it is a mystery thriller, it really wasnt that scary. BUT I love when a movie takes a left turn and makes you take note of all you just saw!! And this did that for me. A really good story. Check it out.
