Unfortunately it has been all too silent on Barry Levinson’s The Bay. We hear bits and drabs maybe once or twice a year and that’s about it. While we still don’t have a release date, we do have the first official photos courtesy of this years Toronto Internal Film Festival below.
The Bay is directed by Barry Levinson and is written by Michael Wallach. The team of Jason Blum, Oren Peli, Steven Schneider and Brian Kavanagh Jones will be producing the movie.
Synopsis: “On the 4th of July in 2011, an unprecedented biological disaster is unleashed from the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. An isopod parasite, carrying untreatable, mutated diseases, jumps from fish to human host and replaces them with itself. Seven years later, the true horror and scope of the event, captured mainly on home videos by the town’s now long-dead victims, is revealed to the public for the first time.”
Lionsgate is said to be handling distribution in the States while Alliance Films is handling Canadian distribution.

Yay! I’m so excited. Although an ad with the picture says the itchy woman looks 27. nah.
