Marjane Satrapi Ushers in Evil Animals for’ The Voices’

Its been known for years now, but cats are freakin’ evil. We have seen it before, you turn your back for one second and they are ready to claw you in the back. Better yet, they get you when you’re sleeping, but how about a cat that tells you to do evil things? Now that’s a different ball game.

According to Deadline, Marjane Satrapi (Chicken with Plums) has been pegged to direct the psychological thriller, The Voices, which was penned by Paranormal Activity’s Michael R. Perry.

Mandalay Vision and Vertigo Entertainment are teaming up to produce the upcoming project with production set to start in early 2013. Casting is said to be well underway.

In the film, “Jerry Hickfang is a lovable but strange bathtub factory worker who yearns for the attention of a woman in accounting. When their relationship takes a sudden murderous turn, Jerry’s evil talking cat and benevolent talking dog lead him down a fantastical path that ultimately brings him to salvation.”

I think this sounds pretty damn killer, what do you guys think? Is this something you can see yourself following?
