Just when you think the talent couldn’t get any more awesome for the upcoming RoboCop remake from Jose Padilha. Along comes word via Deadline, that Michael Keaton (pictured right) has been cast in MGM’s remake of RoboCop.

According to the site, Michael Keaton has been attached to play the role of Reymond Sellers, a role that was once attached with Hugh Laurie, that was until he dropped out.

So Keaton will now play Sellers, who is the CEO of the corporation that builds RoboCop.

Padilha told the site; “Michael is the final addition to the amazing cast we have assembled for this film and it is so great to have the last puzzle piece in place. It is thrilling that everything has come together to bring this innovative new vision of RoboCop to life. We’ve got a great script, a great cast, some killer ED-209’s and I can’t wait to get Alex Murphy back on the streets,”

RoboCop is said to hit theatres on August 9, 2013.
