You hear that folks? That’s the sound of absolute carnage. Gone away are fears of a PG-13 film and in comes confirmation that the remake of The Evil Dead will be rated R, and that’s at the very least. This one promises to be freakin’ bloody!
In a recent interview with Sam Raimi over at Collider, Raimi put his two cents forward giveing us fans the news we wanted to hear regarding the rating.
“It’s really bloody. It’s so bloody, it will make your head spin. I’ve seen almost all the dailies and they’re really going for it. It’s gonna be grisly and intense and non-stop.”
Raimi continues;
“Definitely R. Maybe worse.”
As awesome as this news is regarding the rating and the expected carnage, the proof shall be in the pudding and I’m fairly certain they will pull it off. I’m one of the many few that is interested in seeing what they do. However, that doesn’t mean that I will like it.
