FilmDistrict Scores U.S. Distribution Rights for the Oldboy Remake

With Spike Lee’s Oldboy remake now underway, it appears as if one company has wasted no time in securing distribution rights. Head on down below for all the details.

According to Variety, FilmDistrict acquired the U.S. distribution rights to Spike Lee’s upcoming remake of Oldboy.

The film stars Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen and Sharlto Copley.

The film is said to follow “an advertising executive (Brolin) who is kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement without any indication of his captor’s motive. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his punishment.”

No other details are currently available at this time, but we will be sure to let you know when they are.
