What with Rupert Wyatt out for the sequel to Rise of the Planet of the Apes, all eyes are focused to see who will fill those shoes for 20th Century Fox. The guys over at Deadline have received a short list of potential directors for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
The site reports that Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) is atop the list which also features J Blakeson (The Disappearance of Alice Creed), Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later), Jeff Nichols (Take Shelter), Guillermo del Toro (Pacific Rim) and Juan Antonio Bayona (The Impossible).
It certainly is an interesting list of potential directors, and as much as I would love to see Guillermo del Toro tackle the Apes, I just don’t see a free slot in that man’s schedule, especially with all the projects he is juggling.
So I ask you, out of the above list, who would you love to see direct Dawn of the Planet of the Apes?
Look for the film in theatres on May 23, 2014.
I’d have to say Matt Reeves.
None. Jj abrams. He would do better than any listed above.
