A little while back we informed you guys that a new adaptation based upon W.W. Jacobs’ The Money’s Paw was on the horizon, and that was pretty much it. However, that all changes today as we have our first slice of casting news.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stephen Lang (“Terra Nova”) & Corbin Bleu (High School Musical) will lead the cast of Macon Blair’s adapted flick The Monkey’s Paw for Chiller TV.
“The film centers on Jake Tilton (Harper’s Island’s C.J. Thomason), who acquires a mystical “monkey’s paw” talisman that grants its possessor three wishes and finds his world upside down after his first two wishes result in his co-worker Tony Cobb (Lang) being resurrected from the dead. When Cobb pressures Jake into using hte final wish to reunite Cobb with his son, his intimidation quickly escalates intoo relentless murder — forcing Jake to outwit his psychotic friend and save his remaining loved ones.”
Not only does Chiller TV have The Monkey’s Paw on the horizon, the site also reports that they are working on an upcoming anthology film which consists of five shorts dealing with the human senses.
According to the site, “Jesse Holland and Andy Mitton will take on Hearing, Emily Hagins with Touch, Eric England with Taste, Nick Everhart with Smell and Miko Hughes with Sight.”
It certainly looks like Chiller TV will soon become the go to place if this is any indication to go by.
