Paramount Acquires the Sci-fi/Horror Short ‘Vessel’ for a Feature Film

I’m pretty sure many of you have seen Clark Baker’s stellar sci-fi horror short floating around the Internet, if not? Well, head on down below as we have it for you again, see, we are nice like that. Once you’ve checked it out, you might be pleased to know that the short has now been acquired for a feature length version.

Yep, according to Variety, Paramount Pictures have acquired Clark Baker’s short Vessel, in which they have pegged Stephen Susco (The Grudge, Texas Chainsaw 3D) to pen and produce the feature version. Also, Baker will be returning to direct his short for the big screen.

The short has been described as being in the vein of such classic films as Alien,The Thing and Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

Vessel tells the story “of a group of airplane passengers who encounter an otherwordly force shortly after takeoff and are thrown into a fight for their lives.”
