Release Date Announced for the Oldboy Remake

No matter how much you ignore something, it just won’t go away, that seems to be the case in regards to Spike Lee’s remake of Oldboy, but who knows, the remake may surprise us all.

So, do you care to know when this one will be released? According to Variety, FilmDistrict is set to release the remake on October 11, 2013.

The Spike Lee directed remake stars  Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, Sharlto Copley and Samuel L. Jackson.

The Oldboy remake “follows the story of an advertising executive (Brolin) who is kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement without any indication of his captor’s motive. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.”
