Shadowman is Set for a Live-Action Feature Film

I’m sure you guys are well aware of the comics, Shadowman from Valiant Comics, and if you’re then you may be pleased to know that a live-action feature film has been given the go-ahead, read on for the early details.

According to Deadline, Valiant Entertainment and The Mummy producer Sean Daniel are teaming up to turn Valiant Comics’ Shadowman into a live-action feature film in which J. Michael Straczynski (Underworld: Awakening) has been tapped to write.

The film’s plot details are as follows;

“The forces of darkness are determined to claim New Orleans as their own, and Jack Boniface must accept the legacy he was born to uphold, in order to stop them. As Shadowman, Jack is about to become the only thing that stands between his city and an army of unspeakable monstrosities from beyond the night. He must pay a high price and master his new abilities before Master Darque brings down the wall between reality and the eldritch darkness of the Deadside.”

I’ve never read any of the comics, but my first glimpse of the character was through the two video games which was released, so I’m unsure if they are true to the comic books, but I enjoyed them so a feature film sounds good to me.

Straczynski told the site, “We’ve already finished the outline and there’s a lot of action, much of it unique to what Shadowman can do…but at the core of it, there’s a strong character, world and mythology that can be explored across multiple subsequent films. This is gonna be fun.”

So what do you guys think? Are you on-board for this one?
