I will give Ben this much he is a much better director then he is an actor, but still the Stand was an epic book and TV mini series, there were many different slow plot twists, slow char growth, to make the whole epic event come together that gripped the reader/ watcher and made them personally care for every event that happened till the bitter sweet end. To try to make a 2-3 hour movie, no i am sorry just won't work, also drawing it out into 2-3 movies has been done ie the mini series on TV, i am sorry it just won't work, Hollywood needs to get off this friggen lets remake the shit out of anything was good long ago, there are plenty of fresh new stories out there but sadly they just want to make fast cash and don't really care if they ruin great stories that have been wonderfully told and done.

How many people want Carl to be KILLED? It is so stupid. If Carl died Rick would probably kill himself. Carl is all that Rick has left. In the comics, Carl get his eye shot by Douglas while he was trying to shoot zombies away from him as he way being surrounded. All Rick did was wait for Carl to wake up from the coma. Some people on this site are just not sympathetic or empathetic. Get a sense of what would happen in reality if dead people took over the world. After your friends die and wife forced to die from c-section, and then your only child the only family member left DIES! Are you insane?

It's got to be better than that TV movie version. And Ben has proven, over and over, to be a pretty good director. I wish him well.

That is a good one to compare to - I think it is the matter of not having the correct amount of Biehn. With a good helping of Biehn, Aftershock would have been marketedly better.

DO you even know The Walking Dead? This comment makes me sick. With all of your stupid opinions that don't even make sense. Why do you want Carl to be killed or to kill a bunch of people. Carl is a great character, who is (probably) the last person of Rick's family. He wouldn't let Carl die no matter what. Of course Rick won't die. He is the MAIN CHARACTER! Does he die in the comics? No. Will he die in the TV series? Probably not, and if he does it will be the end of the show. The Walking Dead's story is based on the survival of Rick and his family and the dangers that they encounter and the people that they meet. Why do you want Daryl to take over. Rick is no longer "Psyco" and he himself doesn't even want to be leader. Like in the comics, what makes Rick a good leader is that he doesn't want to be a leader, so he really does what is best for him and his family which also saves everyone else from whatever he stops. WOW! If you are going to write a comment like that you should get some experience from the actual story of The Walking Dead, which is the comic books. If you haven't read them yet, it may answer a lot of you questions about the future of The Walking Dead.
