The Town That Dreaded Sundown is Set for a Remake

Chris Savage

I’m sorry guys, today I bring you even more news of yet another remake, but c’mon, we all know by know that nothing and I mean absolutely nothing is sacred when it comes to Hollywood, so next up we have an upcoming remake of The Town that Dreaded Sundown.

According to Variety, MGM is developing a remake of 1976 horror movie The Town that Dreaded Sundown, and currently they are out to writers to pen the looming remake.

“The original movie was based on five unsolved murders attributed to the Phantom Killer during three months in 1946 in and around the city of Texarkana on the border between Texas and Arkansas. Pierce shot large parts of the movie in and around Texarkana with extras recruited from local residents.”

Its been a while since I’ve seen this one, so it may not hold the test of time, but does that warrant a remake? Do you even want one? Lets hear your thoughts below.

I wouldn’t mind a remake of this one. I could use a new and good serial killer flick.
