Insidious Chapter 2 Continues to Cast UpEarlier this morning we received word that Barbara Hershey will return to the fold, and now B-D has just got the exclusive word as to who else will be returning for the sequel.

So along with Hershey, Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne, the site reports that Leigh Whannell, Angus Sampson, Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins and Andrew Astor have all officially joined the sequel.

“Hershey will play the role of Lorraine Lambert, the mother to Patrick Wilson’s Josh Lambert and the grandmother to the demon-possessed boy Dalton.”

Whannell and Sampson are returning as Specs and Tucker (above, right), and the film is said to feature various flashbacks of various characters in the film that lead up to the events in the first.

I for one am totally stoked for this, but what do you guys say? Sound off below and let us know.

Look for this one in theatres on August 30, 2013.

*POSSIBLE SPOILERS* I am looking forward to this movie. I really liked the first one; the production values, story and visuals all made this a great scary movie. I am interested in how they do the story line, especially since they are bringing back characters who died in the first Insidious. I do have to admit that the demon wasn’t the best character of the movie(visually), but really enjoyed the old woman from the astral reality and the ghosts in the house. I still watch it on Netflix when I’m in the mood…great rainy day movie.

I thought this was great until Darth Maul and the geeks showed up. They got the formula right with Sinister, I don’t know why they would revisit this.
