The Collection Fails to Collect at the Box-Office

The Collection Fails to Collect at the Box OfficeSo who went to see The Collection this past weekend? What did you make of it and would you recommend that we should check it out? While the film failed to bring in a hefty return, I still think it done rather well considering the 1,403 theatres it played in and the competition it was up against.

Still, the film failed to match the original’s £3.6M with just bringing in $3.1M at the box-office according to Deadline. Still, this doesn’t mean its a bad film, but I’m kinda gutted that it didn’t at least match the original’s takings. So what does this mean for the future? Will there be a third sequel and if so, will that one get a theatrical run or just go straight to DVD?

I want to hear from you. Let us know your thoughts on the film and if you’d be up for another sequel? I for one am still very intrigued to check this one out, just gotta wait for it to make its away across the pond first.

Probably a film that should have went straight to DVD, heck it wasn’t even playing in my area.. Plus releasing the flick this time of year, not very smart..

I loved the first movie, but I rarely go to the theater. I prefer being at home plus it costs so much to go to the movies!

I’m a movie fanatic especially horror movies. I loved The Collector! This movie wasn’t as good as the 1st but I still like to support the genres I love so I saw it in the theatre Sunday. I’m up for a 3rd it probably should go straight to DVD. Doesn’t that save them money they can put towards advertising the movie better? Anyway people who follow the franchise & horror movie fans are always gonna be ready for more as long as they make a good film

I looked for this move all over my city! It wasn’t opening anywhere! Of course it didn’t do as good, it’s not a big block buster action movie….LOL and It doesn’t help that it was a limited release. I really enjoyed Silent Night, it was straight to DVD, I also read that The curse of Chucky will go straight to DVD next Halloween, Hell Trick R Treat sat on shelves for years before finally getting picked up! That movie should of been released in theatres! it seems the fan base isn’t as extreme with this generation. It makes me sad, I’m 30 years old, I’ve been watching 70’s and 80’s horror movies growing up.
