Dead Snow 2 to Begin Filming in 2014

I don’t know about you guys, but I absolutely loved Tommy Wirkola’s Dead Snow, for me it was the perfect mix of horror and comedy and I’ve been anxiously waiting for a follow-up ever since. Most recently Wirkola has been busy with his upcoming flick Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, but thankfully next up on the cards is Dead Snow 2.

Recently STYD caught up with Wirkola and he had this to say about the sequel;

I really want to do a sequel to Dead Snow and we have a script for it,” Wirkola said.

“I truly love it and I think it’s better than the first film, but it’s going to take a lot more money to pull off.  So, we’re going to go [into production] next winter, not this winter.

The first Dead Snow was split in two.  The first half is a classical horror movie, the second half goes nuts.  With Dead Snow 2, it starts right where the first film left off and is full throttle from beginning to end.

Basically, the Nazi zombies decide to invade Northern Norway again, it’s just crazy.”

Sure its still a long way away, but at-least we know that this sucker is on the way.

        A sequel to Dead Snow would be incredible. Hopefully it will include some classic references like the first one did.
