Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters Takes the Top Spot at the Box-Office

Chris Savage

From the moment I first laid eyes on Paramount’s Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, I knew it wasn’t my cup of tea. But that’s just me and I know a load of people who have been looking forward to this, and judging by these results at the box-office, it looks as if many of you ventured out to see if the film was any good.

According to Deadline, the film was the number one flick at the box-office this past weekend with a cume of $18M. Considering the film was made for $50m, although some reports are suggesting it was actually made for $83M, it doesn’t sound too good also considering the 3D premium. But, it is the top film at the box-office regardless of how little it made.

So did you go? What did you guys make of it and should we go and see it? Let us know in the comments below

The film stars Jeremy Renner, Gemma Arterton and Famke Janssen.

Synopsis: “15 years after their traumatic gingerbread-house incident, siblings Hansel and Gretel have become a formidable team of bounty hunters who track and kill witches all over the world.”
